Treatment plans that work for you
Each patient is on a different journey and it will be my goal to cater my care for you, to your specific goals. Acupuncture can be a great way to relax, check in with the body, and realign your energetic pathways. Acupuncture encompasses both energy work and body work.
Ancient medicine in modern world
The high stress environment that is the world today, has us all rushing off and hustling to the next thing. Acupuncture will give you an opportunity to rest, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. While you are on the treatment table you are in good hands, and the focus is all on you.
Treatment styles
Chinese Acupuncture
This style of acupuncture is direct and to the point. We isolate the symptoms and treat them one by one to get you feeling better each time you get off the table.
Japanese Acupuncture
Japanese style acupuncture is based on channels that run deep in the body and address the root causes of disease. This is a very gentle style of acupuncture which uses less needles per session and often employs moxabustion therapy. Moxa is an herb that when burned helps move Qi and bring healing to a specific area of the body.
Orthopedic Style
Orthopedic acupuncture is a slightly more aggressive form of acupuncture that uses trigger points to release muscles and induce healing. These treatments are commonly used for athletes and anyone who pushes their body to its limits.
Pediatric Acupuncture
Acupuncture for children is very gentle, the needles are small and few, and a tool known as a tesion is often used instead of needles, to encourage qi flow to a point. Children are sensitive to energy work and respond more quickly with less effort.
What can Acupuncture Treat?
The most research has been done around the treatment of pain, which can come from a variety of sources such as traumatic injury or repetitive stress. However, acupuncture can treat so much more than pain.
Acupuncture can assist in the treatment of almost anything that ails you. Some common treatments include digestive distress, mental emotional concerns, insomnia, and addiction.
Acupuncture treatments address both the symptoms and the cause of the imbalance within the body. It is rare for a patient to suffer from only one symptom and it is crucial to understand the whole body connection when addressing health concerns. Acupuncture is a whole body approach.
